WHEN THE ESCAPE ROUTE BECOMES A DESIGN ELEMENT
The Austrian group STIWA, with eight branches in four countries, works in the sector automation, supplier production, chipping and manufacturing software.
The company headquarters in Attnang-Puchheim were equipped with external escape stairs. The challenge was to execute a planning concept that is based on large span widths and comes with challenging static requirements, with minimal use of material and in an elegant way. The high quality of steel used by ProMetall (HIGH-SOLID high-strength steel strip) enabled us to achieve a placative result by means of grating elements type “31×9 / 60×3” + type “31×9 / 50×2”, hot-dip galvanised steel; the result does the technology group’s high-tech and professional image justice.
