URBAN LIVING WITH A VIEW OF THE MOUNTAINS

This residential complex in the centre of Innsbruck, consisting of four houses with staggered building heights – captivating as a result of its location, top construction quality and smart floor plans, not to mention the fact that recreational activities, relaxation areas and the magnificent view of the mountains take centre stage.

The natural concept is highlighted by the use of balcony panels with individual perforation (aluminium 2mm, special perforation diameter 19 mm), which blurs the lines between interior and exterior and does not cut residents off from what is happening on the outside. The architects at the Weinberg developer group chose an unusual, unique balcony panel design which was executed by ProMetall by means of individual programming on state-of-the-art machines. The result: fans of Innsbruck’s city are able to enjoy their perfect homes in a quiet environment.

PERFORATED METAL - A CLASSIC WITH A NEW COATING

Perforated metal sheets have been produced in Europe since the late 19th century. In the past, perforated metal sheets were mainly used as sieve and filter elements and as protective plates in industry and machine construction. Creative designers and Western European product experts found new applications for the functional metal sheet – in the form of innovative designs for façade construction. Perforated metal sheets are popular for visual protection of façades in modern residential, hotel and office complexes and are often used for staircases and balconies. Nevertheless, perforated metal sheet has retained its practical character in the design sector and is also used as sound insulation in building construction.
