SHOPPING TEMPLE F0R TYROL’S CAPITAL

The American shopping chain TK Maxx opened another branch in Innsbruck, in the West of Austria.

At the Menardi Centre at the DEZ in Innsbruck, top brands and designer labels are displayed on an area of approx. 1,600m2 – at prices that are lower than the recommended prices. The range includes fashion, toiletries, toys and decorative and household articles as well as home accessories.

Since 1988, the multi-functional Menardi Centre has combined sophisticated design and top object quality with exceptional infrastructure. ProMetall enhanced the existing façade via a transparent, net-like, gold-coloured, façade made of 2mm-thick aluminium expanded metal type “Gumpoldskirchen” which simultaneously envelops the building and draws customers’ attention to it. In the sunlight, the outer cover lights up like gift wrapping that hints at what is hidden inside: an extensive collection of affordable luxury.

EXPANDED METALS – practical and elegant

Expanded metals and expanded grates are made of a single piece of metal to ensure there are no strands causing wear and tear and no weighed-down connections or welding seams. As a result, the sustainable, robust material exhibits significant strength and surface stability which makes it ideal for use in façade design. Various materials can be used, the mesh is generally diagonal, hexagonal, round or square, neither twisted nor welded. Depending on the type, various effects are possible. The material retains its inner stability even when it is cut.
Due to their 3-dimensional character, façades made of expanded metal turn into “eye catchers”.
