Another great example how ProMetall expanded metal was used to create a modern grid look for a simple industrial building via processing by the façade builder (the expanded metal panels were tilted into cases +naturally anodised)
OFFICE BUILDINGS WANT TO SHINE TOO
In 2013, ASFINAG started to make new plans for the 12-kilometre section between Judenburg und St. Georgen ob Judenburg and in 2020 it took over the company’s branch in Unzmarkt.
It is a great example of how attention to detail and high-quality work can turn a simple industrial building into an architecturally appealing object. The façade manufacturer tilted the 2mm ProMetall expanded metal panels type “Feldkirchen” into cases, naturally anodised them and thus created the interesting grid look. The additional layer protects the building from oxidation and retains its natural colour. The result is a façade that is weather-proof and stays the same colour the design intended it to be.
EXPANDED METALS – practical and elegant
Expanded metals and expanded grates are made of a single piece of metal to ensure there are no strands causing wear and tear and no weighed-down connections or welding seams. As a result, the sustainable, robust material exhibits significant strength and surface stability which makes it ideal for use in façade design. Various materials can be used, the mesh is generally diagonal, hexagonal, round or square, neither twisted nor welded. Depending on the type, various effects are possible. The material retains its inner stability even when it is cut. Due to their 3-dimensional character, façades made of expanded metal turn into “eye catchers”.
