This beautiful project with a total area of almost 1,000m² was realised in 2020, in the midst of “lockdown”, and supplied by ProMetall, ready for installation, including surface coating; the long-term, excellent cooperation with BEHF, from the planning phase onwards, facilitated the technical execution on the basis of wishes and possibilities perfectly agreed beforehand…;
IF GOLIATH WERE A TOWER
2020 was a huge challenge for mankind. The meaning of the word standstill was as present as never before and trade, like the Pado-Shopping Galleries in Parndorf, was especially hard hit by the mandate “lockdown”.
Yet, they knew they had to think ahead and hired an advertisement pylon with a total area of almost 1,000 m² to welcome future clients who would hopefully storm the shopping paradise again soon.
ProMetall supplied the subcomponents made of expanded metal type “Karlovac”, aluminium, thickness 2mm, incl. RAL9006 white aluminium powder-coating to make the pylon created by planning office BEHF real. The perfect cooperation between architects and executors in the run-up to the project ensured a top result. Now the advertising facility is an impressive element with a long-distance effect within the complex. Anyone who might have missed the shopping oasis before, will not be able to resist the visual temptation to stop there at least once and buy a little happiness.
EXPANDED METALS – practical and elegant
Expanded metals and expanded grates are made of a single piece of metal to ensure there are no strands causing wear and tear and no weighed-down connections or welding seams. As a result, the sustainable, robust material exhibits significant strength and surface stability which makes it ideal for use in façade design. Various materials can be used, the mesh is generally diagonal, hexagonal, round or square, neither twisted nor welded. Depending on the type, various effects are possible. The material retains its inner stability even when it is cut.
Due to their 3-dimensional character, façades made of expanded metal turn into “eye catchers”.
