It replaces the 4-person lift which had been in operation since 1985 and sets new standards with regards to safety, comfort and sustainability. The lift is equipped with covers protecting against adverse weather conditions, heated seats, conveyor belt and automatic lever locking. As the first of its kind in Carinthia, it also uses AI-supported safety monitoring which checks the operation autonomously, and is equipped with a photovoltaic system that ensures sustainable power generation.

The project Troeglbahn represents the latest alpine example of ProMetall gratings ensuring safety in the mountains. The tailor-made platforms and stair treads (mesh 31×31, BB 30×2 + BB 30×3 + BB 40×2) made of hot-dip galvanised steel were used as approx. 150 individual elements for accessible walkways, entrances and stairs to the chairlift. Everything was designed for the highest loads and delivered in time to ensure timely opening of the season.
