The comfortable, almost silent cable car with space for 10 passengers has the capacity to take up to 1,500 guests per hour on a comfortable and enjoyable ascent to the favourite mountain at Koenigssee. The cable car transports skiers, hikers, sun lovers and nature lovers to the mountain station. From the mountain station and the nearby restaurants, they are able to enjoy the spectacular views of the Berchtesgarden mountains. Freedom from barriers was the main construction goal: in addition to ramps and lifts there is a special access lane for monoskis and a special permanent cabin for hang-gliders.

ProMetall supplied approx. 30 tons of hot-dip galvanised gratings type 31×31/30×2 for this mega-project; the top-quality and precise installation of these gratings were crucial to ensure the facility’s smooth operation. ProMetall also met all requirements regarding timely handover and ensured the cable car’s punctual launch. The result: an all-year-round landscape experience for large numbers of visitors who are able to use the facility safely and without any problems, thanks to our gratings.
